Overview of Book’s Structure

Teresa’s book presents MS Project 2010 completely in a graphical way.

The book is logically organized, and covers Project 2010 standard version, professional version and Project Server 2010 based on SharePoint environment.  The book also gives you a clear guide to find your way by using Project Web Apps.

The most important is that the book also lets you improve yourself, so you can design and manage your projects by applying bunch of customizing features. After all, the book is trying to help you to manage your project to a success.

Highlights: What I liked!

Even I am first touch MS Project 2010, I do not worry about how to use that with Teresa’s book. This book reference is well organized, so that I can easily find the topic you are looking for, which can solve my issues like how to manage multiple projects, how to integrate your Project 2010 with other programs like MS excel, Visio, or SharePoint and so on.

Teresa’s book focuses on inter-activities, and I found many tips through the whole book, and which give me the ideas how to handle the software problems.

The book contains a rich set of graphics which can simplify the concepts and enhances understanding more visually. Actually, the book try to help the reader reach two goals: To Learn and To Perform, it’s more practical purpose of the reader is looking for.

Shortfalls: What was Missing!

Honestly, MS Project Server 2010 is built on Share Point platform, so it should contains more powerful business collaboration services.

Who might benefit from the Book

The project managers or project coordinators will definitely obtain the practices from this book on their planning, executing, controlling, and monitoring the projects.
