关于AT&T在中国的可行性论证

前一段时间,和一个前AT&T的朋友交谈到AT&T一直在想加入中国的电信市场,申请在中国的电信运营牌照。而且他们为此付出了两三年的努力来论证其可行性。 其实任何一个电信公司想进入中国市场都可以理解,因为中国人口多,市场大。但是像AT&T这样的公司想进入中国恐怕会血本无归。 进入中国市场,如果走低端路线,因为中国的普通用户毕竟占大多数,虽然可能会有大量的用户群,但是不会有太大的利润空间,因为中国电信和中国联通等本土公司已经将这个利润空间压缩的很小很小,对于AT&T这样的公司肯定是入不敷出,而且AT&T的品牌也不可能走低端路线,这条路堵死了。 那能不能像苹果公司那样走高端路线呢?或许可以赚到钱,但不会长久。因为电信这个市场需要持续长久的投入。不断的开发出新的应用才会吸引有钱人的新鲜感,不过这年头开发远没有仿制来得快。用于创新的投资还没有收回来,山寨产品就已经占领市场了。所以这个高端市场也不太能赚到钱。 那么搞合资合作呢?暂且不说投入的钱能不能赚回来吧,假如赚到钱了,树大招风搞不好还让美国同行告个泄露高新技术的罪名。
